Switching Circles and finding Contacts

Switch circles and locate or hide contacts across your SwiftFox workspace.

How to move between the Circles you have access to, and what to check when you can't find a Contact — or can see one you didn't expect. This guide is for everyday users of an account that already has Circles set up.

Switch to a different Circle

  1. Select the profile icon in the top-right corner of SwiftFox.
  2. A dropdown appears showing all the Circles you have access to.
  3. Select the Circle you want to work in.

Once you switch, every feature in SwiftFox updates to show only the data for that Circle.

Your default Circle

Users are typically set to a default Circle when they open SwiftFox. You will start there each session until you switch.

Reaching resources in another Circle

Some pages show a Circle dropdown at the top. This lets you open resources you've been granted access to in other Circles — such as a Global list or a Hub-level form. Even when you open a resource from another Circle, you still only see the Contacts from your own Circle.

"I can't find a Contact"

Check which Circle you are currently in. The Contact may live in a different Circle. Switch to a broader Circle — such as a Hub or the Global Circle, if you have access — and search again.

"I can see a Contact I shouldn't"

The most likely cause is that the Contact is not assigned to any Circle. Contacts with no Circle are Global People and appear in every Circle by default. Ask your administrator to check whether the Contact has a Circle assigned; if not, they can create a Segment that captures those Contacts to remove them from Global visibility (see Creating and editing Circles).

"A Circle is missing from my dropdown"

Only Circles that have been explicitly assigned to you or your user group appear in your dropdown. If one is missing, ask your administrator to check your access in Circle Settings.
