What are Action Centres?
Live, exportable data tables focused on specific domains — cases, finance, forms, goals/CPD, lists and posts — with search, filtering, sorting, and optional in-table editing. They are the central hub for reporting on and taking action with your SwiftFox data.
How do I get permission to create them?
An administrator must enable Action Centre Management for your user group. Once enabled, you create and manage Action Centres from Features → Action Centres.
Can I add my own area with an icon and URL?
Yes. Use Manage Areas → Add Area to set the Area Name, an Icon (from the searchable library) and the Path (URL). Refresh the page to see it in the sidebar and top navigation.
Can I control who sees or edits an Action Centre?
Yes. Assign users and/or user groups and choose Full, View & Edit, or View Only in the standard permissions dialog.
What is the difference between Data Table and List Builder?
- Data Table unifies one data table across all profiles, so a profile can appear on multiple rows.
- List Builder starts from a saved list (live or fixed), lets you add more columns (including custom fields), mark columns editable, and optionally publish the result as a website directory.
Can we push invoice data to accounting?
Yes. Invoice Action Centres support MYOB and MYOB journal exports, including tracking codes.
Can I export individual invoice line items?
Yes. For invoices with multiple line items you can export per line item as well as at the invoice level.
How do public directories work?
Enable Website Configuration on a List Builder Action Centre, then choose the card Title field and Card / Thumbnail image, the drawer fields and the public filters. The directory publishes to your website / member portal via Umbraco.
Do live lists update automatically in the Action Centre?
Yes. With a Live source, records enter and exit the table automatically as they meet or stop meeting the list criteria. A Fixed source stays static unless the underlying list is edited.
Why does the same profile appear more than once in a Data Table?
Because data tables support a flexible number of entries per profile. Each entry becomes its own row, so a profile with several entries appears on several rows.
Can I edit data directly in the table?
Yes, where a field has been made editable (most notably via the Editable option on List Builder columns), and provided you have Full or View & Edit permission. View Only users cannot edit.
