The form canvas & global style

You build a form on the form canvas in Step 1 – Design — a drag-and-drop workspace similar to the SwiftFox email builder. Form blocks are listed in the right-hand panel; you drag them onto the canvas and configure each one.

Working on the canvas

1. Open the form in Step 1 – Design.
2. From the right-hand panel, drag a form block onto the canvas where you want it.
3. Click any placed block to open its settings and configure it.
4. Reorder, edit or remove blocks directly on the canvas as you build.

Use the undo and redo arrows (at the top of the page, below the step bar) to step back or forward through changes made in your current editing session.

Form blocks fall into several groups, each covered in its own guide:

• Add/Update Contact block — writes answers to contact profiles (see Add/Update Contact block).
• Question blocks — capture moment-in-time responses (see Question blocks).
• Navigation, submission & redirect blocks — pages, Submit and URL redirect (see Navigation, submission & redirect blocks).
• Content & media blocks — image, video, attachment, columns, rich text, divider (see Content & media blocks).
• Membership & finance blocks — Subscription, Payment Method, Account Payment (see Membership & finance blocks).

Global Style

Use the Style controls to set the look of the whole form. Global style governs:

• Fonts and colours for the question text.
• Fonts and colours for the description text.
• Fonts and colours for the answers.
• The form background colour.

Setting style globally keeps every block consistent without styling each block individually.

Preview in the builder

1. In the builder, click Preview (top right).
2. The form renders as respondents will see it, with your global style applied.
3. Use Preview to check layout, conditional logic and the success page before publishing.

The Success page

At the bottom of the form is the Successful Submission page, shown to respondents after they click Submit. Make sure it contains the content you want (see Success page & publishing).

Saving

Click Save and close (top right) to exit the builder and return to the Forms list; your design is retained so you can return and continue editing. Cancel (top left) discards unsaved changes.
