Portal Events controls how members register for events through the Login portal. You decide which RSVP options members can choose when they register for an event via the portal, keeping member-facing responses consistent with how your team manages events internally.
How event registration works in the portal
- Members see events they are eligible to register for through the portal.
- When registering, members choose from the RSVP options you have enabled for portal use.
- Their responses flow back into SwiftFox event records, so your team sees portal registrations alongside other RSVPs.
Select the RSVP options members can use
- Go to Settings → Features → Login Portal → Portal Events.
- Select which RSVP options members can use when registering via the portal.
- Save your selection.
Relationship to event settings
- The available RSVP options come from your event configuration. The default responses are Attending, Not Attending, Attended and Did Not Attend, and additional RSVP response options can be added under Settings → Features → Events.
- Portal Events simply controls which of those options members are allowed to choose when self-registering.
Permissions
Configuring Portal Events requires the Membership Portal permission. Event configuration more broadly is governed by Manage Event Settings and related event permissions in Settings → Users & access → User groups.
Notes & gaps to verify
- Whether members can amend or cancel an existing RSVP through the portal should be confirmed against the live product.
- How ticketed or capacity-limited events behave for portal self-registration should be verified in-product.
