Filtering the Activity Feed

As the Activity Feed grows it can fill with system-generated and bulk activity. You can keep it focused using the View type options and the tag/hashtag filters — all reached from the 3-dot menu at the top-right of the SwiftFox Activity Feed widget, which opens the Settings panel.

Open the feed controls

1. In the SwiftFox Activity Feed widget, click the 3-dot menu at the top-right of the widget.
2. The Settings panel opens with the view and filter options.

Choose a view type

Under Select a view type for the activity feed, pick one option. These are single-select — only one view type applies at a time:

• All posts — the default view; shows everything.
• Hide system posts — removes system-generated entries (member portal updates, form submissions, email sends) so you only see Posts written by people.
• Hide bulk posts — removes Posts generated by bulk actions, such as large email blasts. This is the main control for cutting clutter from large sends.
• Hide all other posts — narrows the feed down, hiding the rest.

Because the view type is a single choice, you can't combine (for example) Hide system posts and Hide bulk posts at the same time — pick the one that best suits what you're looking for, then switch back to All posts for the full picture.

Filter posts by tag or hashtag

In the same Settings panel, the Filter posts section lets you quick-search by a single filter type:

• Hashtags — filter to a topic referenced inline with a #hashtag.
• Post tags — filter to Posts carrying a tag from your settings list.

Choose a Filter type (Hashtags or Post tags), then use the search box to pick the tag or hashtag to filter by.

Removing the widget

At the bottom of the Settings panel, Remove widget takes the SwiftFox Activity Feed off the current homepage if you no longer need it there.

Tips

• Switch the View type to Hide system posts or Hide bulk posts when the feed is noisy, then back to All posts when you want the full picture.
• Use the Filter posts section (Hashtags or Post tags) when you're researching a specific topic, campaign, or follow-up.
