This guide covers three account-wide classifications and defaults: address tags, contact category types, and default roles & titles.

Address tags

  • Address tags — go to Settings → Data & records → Tags & categories → Address tags. Create address tags to classify addresses (these flow into features such as Visits). Use Add to create one, and the pencil / delete icons to manage them.
  • Address display on profiles and maps — the Address type and Default map address controls live at Settings → Organisation → General preferences → Profile & Display. See General preferences — profile display, contact lookup & feature folders.

Contact category types

Category types classify People and Organisations and give each a colour for quick visual identification on business cards.

  1. Go to Settings → Data & records → Tags & categories.
  2. Open the Person category or Organisation category tab.
  3. Select Add to create a category type.
  4. Enter a name and set a colour. Tick Use as SwiftBadge on the tab to show the categories as badges on cards and in Swift Search results.

To delete a category type, use the delete (trash) icon beside it — note that removing a category affects records currently classified with it.

Default roles & titles

Default roles & titles predefine the role and job-title suggestions shown when editing a profile or linking a person to an organisation. Users can still add their own.

  1. Go to Settings → Data & records → Default roles & titles.
  2. Click Create to add a role title (for example Account Manager).
  3. Use the pencil icon to rename or delete an existing entry.

Notes

  • Category colours are designed for quick identification on business cards — choose distinct colours for the categories you use most.
  • For the full tag and category set, see Tags & categories; for profile address display, contact lookup and feature folder defaults, see General preferences — profile display, contact lookup & feature folders.
