Limitations
- Back-end provisioning required. New dashboards must be added by the SwiftFox team — they are not end-user self-service. Request them through your account manager.
- Widget support for Home pages varies. Not all widgets support Add to Home Screen. If a widget you added to a Home page doesn't load, it isn't currently supported and may be enabled later.
- CSV download is table-only. Only table widgets offer a CSV download; chart and number-tile widgets do not.
- Parameter and filter options are per dashboard. The toolbar carries two separate controls, Parameters (the named inputs a dashboard was built to take) and Filter (a Where condition builder). A dashboard shows only the controls it was built with, so some have both, some one, and some neither — and what each offers differs from dashboard to dashboard. Values in force are listed beside them as Applied parameters and Applied filters.
Best practice
- Filter before you export. A PDF export captures the dashboard as it currently appears, so set your Parameters and Filter values at the top of the page and arrange the layout before clicking Export dashboard as PDF.
- Save your layout after arranging. After rearranging and resizing widgets, click Save dashboard layout so your arrangement persists; use Reset dashboard layout to return to the default if needed.
- Use the right export for the job. Export the whole dashboard as a PDF for a visual snapshot; use the table widget CSV download when you need the raw data.
- Plan dashboard requests with your account manager. Bring the metrics, tables and account-specific reporting you need so the SwiftFox team can build the right dashboard.
