This page collects the common Posts workflows end-to-end. Each one assumes the SwiftFox Activity Feed widget is on your homepage (add it via Add widget, bottom-right, if not).
A) Post to the Activity Feed
- In the SwiftFox Activity Feed widget, click into the post composer (the "Write your post" box) at the top.
- Adjust the date/time if needed (it defaults to now).
- Click the audience control (the globe labelled Everyone) to open Edit permissions, then choose a preset — Everyone, Current Circle, or Only me — or add specific users, user groups, or circles, and click Apply.
- Type your post text.
- Tag Contacts with @ + name, choosing from People, Users, or Organisations. Tagging a User notifies them and adds the Post to their profile under Posts.
- (Optional) Click the attachment (paperclip) icon to add files (or drag and drop); click the address (location) icon to add a location.
- (Optional) Click Add new tag to apply a tag from your settings list.
- Click Post.
B) Tag a colleague and notify them
- In the composer, type @ and the colleague's name.
- Select their record under Users.
- Finish and click Post. They receive a notification (top-right) and the Post appears on their profile under Posts.
C) Interact with a Post
- Under the Post, use react (the emoji icon) to acknowledge it, or comment (the speech-bubble icon) to reply.
- To assign follow-up, choose create a task (the tick icon under the Post, or via the Post's 3-dot menu), set the details and assignee, and save.
D) Edit or delete a Post
- Hover over the Post to reveal its 3-dot menu (top-right of the Post), then click it.
- Choose Edit to change it, or Delete to remove it. (The same menu also offers Create a task.) Requires the appropriate permissions.
E) Filter and tidy your Activity Feed
- Click the 3-dot menu at the top-right of the SwiftFox Activity Feed widget to open Settings.
- Under View type, choose one option: All posts (default), Hide system posts, Hide bulk posts, or Hide all other posts. Only one view type applies at a time.
- In the Filter posts section, pick a Filter type — Hashtags or Post tags — and search for the tag/hashtag to narrow the feed.
- (Optional) Use Remove widget if you no longer need the feed on this page.
F) Segment tagged Posts for follow-up
- Apply a consistent tag to relevant Posts as you create them.
- Open Lists (List Builder), or a Posts action centre you've set up.
- Filter by that tag to pull every matching Post and its associated Contacts.
- Take follow-up action on the resulting set.
