Now let's look at how to create and publish news items on your website. This is a great way to keep your site fresh and share updates, announcements, or articles with your audience. News items are managed through a dedicated news page in your content tree. You will see your news page listed alongside your other pages. It acts as a container for all of your individual news items, which sit inside it as child pages.

To create a new news item, you can either create a blank item from the create button. You can copy one of the existing pages as a template to keep the same look. To copy a page, select one of the existing items and then select copy. Select the news page you want this to be copied to and submit.

You will see that it is grade out. This indicates that it has not yet been published so it isn't live on your site. Select the name to open it and then give your news item a new name. This will be the headline that appears on your website. The content editor here works much the same way as any other page, with one key difference.

There is the standard content grid where you can build out your page using blocks, or if you want to keep things simple, you can just add rich text into the main content. To configure the News feed block, add it to your pages grid and open its settings. The key setting is selecting your news page. This tells the block where to pull news from. From there, you can set the maximum number of items to display. You can also choose whether to show or hide the Read more link on each item. The news feed block also includes powerful filtering and sorting options. You can filter by tags or keywords. Set a date, range or even filter by rating, and you can sort your news items by newest first, oldest first, or by highest or lowest ratings. This means you can place multiple news feed blocks on different pages, each filter to show different types of content.
