The Organisations Action Centre is a dedicated space for browsing every organisation in your account and visually mapping how they relate to one another. Because it uses the main area to show the organisation list alongside the selected profile, we recommend creating it as its own standalone area rather than grouping it with other Action Centres, so nothing competes with it for space.
Creating the Organisations Action Centre
- Go to Settings → Features → Action Centres and select Create Action Centre.
- On the Basics step, enter a name, choose an icon, set the Area (create a dedicated area for it) and a Section, and choose the Organisations type.
- Step through Columns, Filters and Permissions as needed, then save.
Using the Organisations Action Centre
Open it from the left-hand menu. You'll see:
- A searchable list of every organisation down the left. Use Find an org to jump to one.
- Selecting an organisation opens its full profile inline on the right — the business card, quick actions (Make call, Create task, Complete survey, and so on) and the Profile, Financial, Accreditation, Projects and Insights tabs — so you can view and edit details without leaving the Action Centre.
Mapping the organisation hierarchy
Relationships between organisations are set on a profile's Related Organisations tab: open an organisation, use Add to link another organisation, and choose whether it's a parent or a child. The link is two-way, so it shows correctly from either profile. See Related Organisations (parent and child organisations). Back in the Action Centre:
- Any organisation that has a parent or child shows a drop-down next to its name in the left-hand list.
- Expanding it maps out the hierarchy, listing child organisations beneath their parent — through as many levels as exist (child orgs under child orgs, and so on).
- Each organisation appears once, positioned where it sits in the hierarchy, giving a clean structural view you can use to reach organisations nested inside others.
Sharing a view
The Action Centre's URL updates to the organisation you're viewing, so you can copy the URL and share it with a teammate to open the exact same organisation and view within the Action Centre — handy for making sure everyone is looking at the same place.
