00:00:05:14 - 00:00:18:11
Ever stared at your website and wondered if anyone's actually visiting? Don't worry, we've all been there. Today we'll walk you through adding Google Analytics to your site. It's like giving your website a fitness tracker.
00:00:18:15 - 00:00:30:09
Let's make sure you never again miss a visitor with these simple steps. First, head to the admin section of your Google Analytics account. Navigate to Data Streams.
00:00:30:13 - 00:00:44:10
Select your site and under Google Tag, choose View Tag Instructions. Under the Install Manually tab, you'll find your personalised Google Tag. Copy this.
00:00:44:14 - 00:00:58:01
Now this tag is your golden ticket, so keep it safe. We'll need it to add to your website's backend. Log in to your website's backend. Select the top level page and navigate to the Custom Code Inserts tab.
00:00:58:05 - 00:01:09:32
Look for the <head> Code section. This is where your tag will live, so paste it here. After saving and publishing, return to Google Analytics to verify your tag is working properly.
00:01:09:36 - 00:01:17:45
And voila! You're now ready to track your website's every move and visitor. Your website analytics journey has officially begun.
