Your Home page opens with a Welcome back, [your name] banner and an Ask SwiftFox prompt bar, and the tab bar along the bottom starts with a SwiftFox AI tab. This guide covers those Home page entry points into SwiftFox AI and how they relate to the SwiftFox AI feature in the left-hand menu.
The prompt bar in the banner
The prompt bar sits under the welcome banner on every Home page tab. Start typing and it expands in place into a full composer, with Add to chat, Dictate and send controls.
When you send your question the conversation opens over the Home page — your message, then the answer beneath it. Two controls sit at the corners of that view:
- The open in full icon at the top left takes the conversation to the SwiftFox AI page, exactly as it stands.
- The close icon at the top right returns you to your Home page. The conversation is saved to your chat history either way.
It is a shortcut, not a separate assistant — anything you ask here is the same conversation you would have anywhere else in SwiftFox, saved to the same history.
The SwiftFox AI tab
Select SwiftFox AI at the left of the tab bar along the bottom of the Home page. Instead of widgets, the page shows:
- The Welcome back, [your name] heading.
- Three starting points — Create an event, Build a list and Draft a campaign — each of which begins a request for you.
- The Ask SwiftFox composer.
- A View widgets link at the foot of the page, which takes you back to your widget layout.
Asking a question
- Click into the Ask SwiftFox field and type what you need.
- Press Enter, or click the send arrow at the right of the composer.
- The conversation opens in place: your message, then the answer beneath it.
Under each answer are copy, Upvote and Downvote controls. The votes are feedback on the answer's quality and help improve SwiftFox AI.
Adding records to your question
Two controls let you point SwiftFox AI at specific records rather than describing them:
- Add to chat — the + at the left of the composer — opens a menu: Add person, Add organisation, Add list, Add email, Add event, Add image and Screen capture. Each of the first five opens a searchable picker with your recent records listed, so you can select the record you mean.
- Typing @ in the composer tags a person inline — the composer prompts you with Type @ to tag. This matches people only; use Add to chat for organisations, lists, emails and events.
Dictating instead of typing
The microphone at the right of the composer takes voice input, so you can speak a request rather than type it.
How this relates to the SwiftFox AI feature
SwiftFox AI in the left-hand menu is the same assistant with its chat history around it: a New chat button, a Search chats field, and the list of your previous conversations.
Conversations you start from the Home page are saved into that list and given a title automatically, so you can reopen one from SwiftFox AI later and carry on. The Home page tab is the quick way in; the SwiftFox AI feature is where you go back to earlier work.
Good to know
- The footer of every SwiftFox AI screen reads SwiftFox AI is in active development. It may get things wrong. Check anything consequential before you act on it, in the same way you would check a colleague's summary.
- The See what it can do link beside that notice opens the SwiftFox AI masterclass in SwiftFox Academy.
- The SwiftFox AI tab always sits at the left of the Home page tab bar. It is not a page you created, so it cannot be renamed, reordered or removed like the pages you add yourself.
