Opening SwiftFox AI beside your work

SwiftFox AI travels with you. Rather than going to a separate page to ask a question, you open it from wherever you are, ask, and carry on. This guide covers opening the drawer, the three ways it can sit on screen, and what happens to your conversation as you move around SwiftFox.

Opening the drawer

Select the Open SwiftFox AI button in the bottom-right corner of the screen. The drawer opens with the conversation you were last having, or a fresh one.

The button is on every screen except the Home page and the SwiftFox AI page, which have their own way in.

While the drawer is open the same button reads Close SwiftFox AI.

Choosing how the drawer sits

Select View Mode in the row of controls at the top of the drawer. Three options:

• Sidebar — the drawer sits alongside your work and the page narrows to make room, so you can see both at once. The left-hand menu collapses to icons. This is the default.
• Floating — the drawer sits over the page instead of beside it, leaving the page at full width underneath. Useful on a cramped screen, or when you are working in a canvas and need the full width of it.
• Full screen — takes the conversation to the SwiftFox AI page. Your conversation comes with you; nothing is lost.

Your choice is remembered, so the drawer opens the same way next time.

The controls at the top of the drawer

From left to right:

• New Chat — clears the drawer and starts a fresh conversation. The one you were having is saved to your history.
• Recent Chats — a short list of your five most recent conversations, plus See all chats. Selecting one loads it into the drawer without taking you off the page you are on.
• View Mode — Sidebar, Floating or Full screen, as above.
• Close Drawer — closes the drawer. In Floating view this control is Minimize Window instead.

Asking a question

1. Click into the Ask SwiftFox field at the foot of the drawer and type what you need.
2. Select the send arrow at the right of the composer.
3. The answer appears beneath your message.

While SwiftFox AI works, the drawer shows what it is doing rather than a blank wait — including the search it is running and a short status line. Longer answers stream in from the top as they are written.

Under each answer are three controls: copy, Upvote and Downvote. The votes are feedback on the answer's quality and help improve SwiftFox AI.

Moving around while the drawer is open

This is the point of the drawer. Open it on a list, ask a question, then go to an event — the drawer stays open and the conversation is exactly where you left it. You can ask a follow-up that builds on what you were discussing two screens ago.

Two things to know:

• The record on screen attaches itself. When you are on a page about a particular record, that record is attached to the chat automatically. See Giving SwiftFox AI the right context.
• Reloading your browser closes the drawer and starts a new conversation. The previous one is not lost — it is in your chat history, reachable from Recent Chats or the SwiftFox AI page.

Closing the drawer

Select Close Drawer at the top of the drawer (Minimize Window in Floating view), or the Close SwiftFox AI button in the bottom-right corner. Either way the conversation is kept, and reopening the drawer brings it back.
