Every address in a visit ends with one of three in-field actions. The action you record updates the address status in the left Locations panel, feeds the outcome breakdown on the Visits landing page, and — when contact is made — posts back to the contact.
The three actions
On the Visit Entry screen, under What happened at this address?, you choose one of:
- Contact made — you reached someone. You then select who you met and complete the survey (Form) for that visit.
- Nobody available — you attempted the address but no one was available (for example, nobody answered). Marks the address and returns you to the list.
- Skipped — you did not attempt the address.
How actions map to the landing-page columns
The in-field actions roll up to the columns on the Visits landing page:
- Contact made → Successful
- Nobody available → Unsuccessful
- Skipped → Unattempted
Addresses you have not actioned yet appear under Not Yet Visited.
What happens when you record Contact made
When you record Contact made, choose who you met, and submit the survey, SwiftFox does three things:
- Updates the address status in the left Locations panel.
- Creates a Post in the activity feed.
- Adds the entry to the contact's profile.
This means a door where contact is made is automatically recorded against the contact, so the conversation is preserved on their record and visible in their activity history.
Recording the other actions
- If no one is available after you attempt the address, choose Nobody available.
- If you skip an address without attempting it, choose Skipped.
Both update the address status in the left panel and are reflected in the landing-page breakdown (Unsuccessful and Unattempted respectively).
Notes
- The action definitions matter for reporting: Nobody available means attempted, no one available; Skipped means no attempt made. Use them consistently across the team.
- Only Contact made (with the survey submitted) creates a Post and adds to the contact's profile, because only that action captures the interaction details.
