You build a visit using a guided four-step builder — the Visit List Wizard: Survey → Address Types → Audience → Review. To start, open Visits from the left-hand menu to reach the Visits landing page, then click Create visit list (top-right).

Step 1 — Survey

The first step is headed Visit list details.

  1. Enter a Visit list name that identifies this run. This field is required.
  2. Use the Select a survey dropdown to choose the survey (a Form) to be completed at each door. Forms are grouped by Current Circle in the dropdown.
  3. Once you select a survey, a Preview survey panel appears showing the Form, so you can confirm you have chosen the right one.
  4. Click Next to continue (or Save and close to finish later).

Step 2 — Address Types

This step is headed Address type selection. Choose which addresses to include in the run:

  • Use the Address types multi-select to pick one or more address types configured for your account (this tenant shows Street Address and Postal Address as examples — address types are account-configured, so yours may differ).
  • Leave the address types blank to apply no restriction by address type — every address on the included contacts is eligible.
  • Optionally tick Primary address only to use each contact's primary address rather than all of their addresses.
  • Choose how addresses are grouped for the run with the Group addresses by radio: Street (default) or Suburb. This controls how addresses are grouped when you work the visit.

Click Next when the address selection is set.

Step 3 — Audience

This step is headed Select an audience. Add the people (and therefore the addresses) you want to visit:

  1. Use the single combined search Search for lists or people to add to find a saved list or an individual person.
  2. Click Add to add the selected list or person to the audience.
  3. Repeat until the set of people and addresses looks right.

Selected addresses appear in an Address | Contact table beneath the search so you can review what has been added.

Note: Lists over 5,000 records cannot be selected. If a list exceeds this limit, split it or refine it before adding it to the audience.

Click Next to move to review.

Step 4 — Review

The final step shows a Summary of the visit:

  • List — the visit list name.
  • Survey name — the survey (Form) attached to the visit.
  • Number of contacts — how many contacts are included.
  • Number of locations — how many addresses will be visited.

Choose how to proceed:

  • Finalise list — locks in the visit so you can start working it.
  • Save and close — saves your progress so you can return and finish building later.

After finalising, return to the Visits landing page and open the visit using the green icon next to its name.

Notes

  • The address type filter is optional. Leaving it blank means no restriction; for door-to-door runs a common practice is to select a street-style address type.
  • Primary address only is a separate checkbox that limits the run to each contact's primary address.
  • The Group addresses by choice (Street or Suburb) determines how addresses are grouped when you work the visit; you do not need to plan the route yourself.
  • You do not have to finish in one sitting — use Save and close mid-build and Finalise list when you are ready to run the visit.
