Custom fields in the event invite list let you display any contact custom field as a column in the invite list table, alongside the standard columns. This makes the invite list far more flexible and informative when you are managing attendees and preparing for an event — for example, surfacing dietary requirements for catering, or industry for networking — without having to open each contact's profile. The feature lives within the Invite List step of an event.

Standard invite list columns

The invite list table always provides these standard columns:

  • Full name
  • Invite Status
  • Email
  • Organisation
  • Mobile
  • Raw SMS Response
  • Stakeholder Leader

These remain available whether or not you add custom field columns.

Showing custom fields in the invite list

Add any contact custom field as a column using the standard column selector.

  1. Open an event.
  2. Navigate to the Invite List step.
  3. Open the invite list table.
  4. Select Choose Columns.
  5. Browse the available columns.
  6. Select any contact custom fields you want to display.
  7. Apply the column changes.

The invite list table updates to include the selected custom field columns. You can show or hide columns at any time, so you can tailor the table to whatever you are working on.

Example use cases

Displaying custom fields turns the invite list into a single reference point for event planning. Common uses include:

  • Displaying dietary requirements for event catering.
  • Viewing attendee industries for targeted networking events.
  • Referencing historical custom field data collected from previous events.
  • Surfacing import source or classification fields during event setup.
  • Using custom field data to support logistics and planning.

How it relates to the rest of SwiftFox

A few things worth knowing about how this behaves:

  • It uses the same column selection behaviour as Lists and Action Centres, so it works the way you are already used to.
  • All contact-level custom fields are available for selection.
  • Both current and historical custom field values are supported.
  • Custom fields shown in the invite list are read only in this view — displaying a field here does not let you edit the underlying contact data.
  • This improves visibility without requiring you to navigate to individual profiles.
