Profile Fields controls which details a member can see and edit about themselves in the Login portal. You choose which standard profile and address fields are exposed, which Custom Fields appear, and whether members are allowed to edit them. This lets members keep their own records up to date while you stay in control of what is visible.

What you can expose

  • Profile fields — core personal details on the member's record.
  • Address fields — the member's address information.
  • Address Types — which address types are shown.
  • Contact Types — which contact detail types (such as phone or email entries) are shown.
  • Custom Fields — specific custom fields you select and add to the member's portal profile.

Choose visible and editable fields

  1. Go to Settings → Features → Login Portal → Profile Fields.
  2. Choose the visible and editable fields for Profile, Address, Address Types and Contact Types.
  3. Save your selections.

Expose custom fields

  1. On the Profile Fields page, go to Additional Details / Custom Fields.
  2. Pick a custom field from the dropdown.
  3. Click Add Field to member profile.
  4. Tick Allow edit to let members update the field.
  5. Repeat to add further custom fields as needed.

Editing rules for custom fields

  • When Allow edit is ticked, members can update the field from their portal profile.
  • Non-text custom fields are view-only — members can see them but cannot edit them, even if exposed. Only text custom fields are member-editable.

Permissions

Configuring Profile Fields requires the Membership Portal permission in Settings → Users & access → User groups.

Notes & gaps to verify

  • The full list of standard profile and address fields available to expose should be confirmed in-product.
  • Behaviour when a member edits a field that is also managed by an integration (for example a synced system) should be verified.
