These blocks control how respondents move through a multi-page form, how the form is submitted, and where they are sent afterwards.
Navigation blocks (multi-page forms)
Use navigation blocks to split a longer form across multiple pages:
- New Page — start a new page in the form.
- Next button — moves the respondent forward to the next page.
- Previous button — moves the respondent back to the prior page.
To build a multi-page form, add a New Page block where you want the break, then place Next and Previous buttons so respondents can move between pages.
Submit button (required)
The Submit button finalises and processes the form.
- A Submit button must be present as the last action on the form.
- Without a Submit button, the form will not be submitted or processed.
Always confirm a Submit button is in place before publishing.
If a submission fails a validation check, the error message appears against the specific question that caused it (rather than a generic banner at the top of the form), so respondents can see straight away what to fix.
URL Redirect block
The URL Redirect block sends the respondent to a web address. It is commonly placed on the Success page so respondents are forwarded somewhere specific after submitting.
To configure it:
- Add the URL Redirect block.
- Set the URL to redirect to.
- Choose the target for the redirect:
- Same frame — open in the current frame.
- New tab — open in a new browser tab.
- Parent frame — open in the parent frame.
- Full window — open in the full window.
Button block
The Button block links to a URL and can be styled:
- Set the URL the button links to.
- Configure the button style, padding and margins.
Use a Button block for links (for example, to a website or resource); use the dedicated Submit button to actually submit the form.
