Once you have configured a map you can save it to use again, and capture the current view as an image.
Save your map
A saved map is called a data workspace. Saving stores the workspace name and the map's layers, including the List Builder criteria behind them, so you can bring the same configuration back later.
- Click Save your map, below the layer list in Your Data Center.
- Enter a Workspace Name.
- Click Save.
To dismiss the panel without saving, click anywhere outside it.
Add a saved map back to a map
- Click Add new data to your map.
- Under Your saved Maps, click the workspace you want.
- The right of the panel previews it — This data workspace has the following layers: followed by each layer and its description. Use this to check you have the right workspace.
- Click Add data to map, then Done.
Two things to know about what happens next:
- The workspace's layers are added alongside whatever is already on your map — they do not replace it. If you want to see the saved map on its own, delete or hide the other layers first.
- The map zooms to fit the workspace's data, so the view will move.
Delete a saved map
Click the bin (delete) icon beside a workspace's name in the Your saved Maps list. This removes the saved workspace. It does not affect any layer already on your map, and it does not change any of the underlying records.
Capture the current view as an image
The map's controls sit at the top right of the map: zoom in, zoom out, and beneath them a printer icon. Clicking the printer icon captures the map as you currently see it.
- Set the map to the view you want — zoom, pan, and show or hide layers.
- Click the printer icon at the top right of the map.
Important: this is an image, not a data export
The capture is a static image of the current view only. It is not a data export: it does not produce the underlying records, addresses or coordinates, and there is no export option in Maps that does. If you need the records themselves, build the equivalent criteria in List Builder and export from there.
Because only what is on screen is captured, set the view up exactly as you want it first.
