How do I create a Post?

Click into the post composer at the top of the Activity Feed widget, type your text, optionally set the date/time, audience, @mentions, attachments, address, and tags, then click Post. See Creating a post.

How do I tag someone and notify them?

Type @ + their name in the Post and select them under Users. They receive a notification (top-right) and the Post appears on their profile under Posts. Tagging People or Organisations links the Post to those records too.

What's the difference between a user post and a system post?

User posts are written manually in the composer. System posts are generated automatically by other parts of SwiftFox (member portal updates, form submissions, email sends). Both appear in the same feed. See System posts vs user posts.

How do I stop system noise in my feed?

Open the 3-dot menu at the top-right of the SwiftFox Activity Feed to open Settings, then set the View type to Hide system posts or Hide bulk posts (one at a time). See Filtering the Activity Feed.

Can I filter Posts by topic?

Yes — apply tags when posting (via Add new tag), then use the feed's Filter posts section (Filter type: Hashtags or Post tags), or segment them in Lists (List Builder) or a Posts action centre you've set up.

Who can see my Post?

By default, Everyone in your account. Click the audience control (the globe labelled Everyone) to open Edit permissions, where you can choose Current Circle or Only me, or grant access to specific users, user groups, or circles.

How do I edit or delete a Post?

Use the 3-dot menu on the Post and choose Edit or Delete. This requires the appropriate permissions.

Can I attach files or a location to a Post?

Yes — use the attachment icon to upload files and the address icon to attach a location in the composer.

Can I turn a Post into a Task?

Yes — under the Post choose create task, set the details and assignee, and save. The assignee is notified and the Task appears in their My Tasks widget.

Where do notifications from Posts appear?

In the top-right notifications area and in the Notifications widget if it's on your homepage. Notifications cover @mentions in Posts, comment tags, and Task assignments.

Why do I see a Post on a Contact's profile?

Because that Contact (a Person, User, or Organisation) was @mentioned in the Post. Every @mention adds the Post to the Posts tab on the mentioned Contact's profile.
