Projects are organised into Project folders in the left-hand pane. Inside each folder you create individual projects (tables), either from a project template or as a blank table.
Create a Project folder
- Open Projects from the left menu.
- Click Create Project Folder at the top of the left-hand pane.
- Name the folder.
- Save the folder. It now appears in the left-hand list and can be expanded to show the projects inside it.
Create a project from a template
Project templates give you a ready-made column setup so you don't have to build the table from scratch.
- In the left pane, select the folder you want the project to live in.
- Click Add New Project.
- In the Create a project from a saved template panel, choose one of the templates shown. These are the templates your account has saved, so the ones you see will differ from another account's.
- Enter a Project name.
- Click Create. The project opens with the template's columns and column types already configured, ready for you to add rows.
Create a blank project
Use a blank project when you want to design the table yourself.
- In the left pane, select the folder.
- Click Add New Project.
- Scroll past the templates and click Create Blank Project.
- Enter a Project name.
- Click Create.
- The empty table opens. Add columns with the + button at the top-right of the table (see Column types) and then add rows (see Adding rows and linking Contacts).
Tips
- Group related tables in the same folder so they are easy to find.
- If you regularly build the same kind of table, save a finished project as a template so future projects start from the same column setup (see Managing projects).
- Templates copy the column setup and column types only — they do not carry across rows.
