Now let's jump into the back end. This is where all your website management happens. On the left hand side, you'll see your website name at the top of the content tree. In this case, it's called Community Theme, but yours will display your own website name. This area is where the foundational building blocks of your website is set up.

The top level item is where you can find your home page content, as well as global properties for items like your navigation bar and footer. Below the website name, you'll see all your individual pages listed out. Some pages also have sub pages. Each page has its own icon. The standard profile icon represents a regular content page. This is the most common type you'll work with.

You might also see a calendar icon which indicates an events page. There's also some website setting items which are a bit unique. We'll leave that for now. This content tree is how you navigate to different pages on your website. Simply click on any page to open its content and start making changes. Let's select the about page as a good example of what a standard content page looks like.

Under each page, you'll see a number of tabs along the top. For most of your day to day work, you'll only need the content tab. This is where you can see and edit the actual content in the page. Within the content tab, you'll find what's called the grid. The grid is where all the building blocks for your page live.

You'll see a mix of elements here, some headings, some rich texts, some layout blocks. Not everything you see in the back end will be visible on the front end of the website, but this is where all the content is managed. We'll make a small change here to this heading and select Save and Preview to switch over to the front end and see how the content has updated and everything in the grid maps to what appears on the site.
