Campaigner Website Enablement - Front end
Things have changed
00:00:00:12 - 00:00:26:14
Before we jump into the back end, let's take a quick look at the front end of the website, what your visitors and supporters actually see. This is the campaigners theme, one of our website templates designed specifically for members of Parliament, candidates and advocacy organisations. We'll use it as a reference throughout today's session so that when we make changes in the back end, you can see exactly where those changes appear on the live side.
00:00:26:18 - 00:01:02:34
You can see the home page has a strong hero section featuring the member's name and electorate, along with key calls to action like learn about Marrawind and sign up for updates. The navigation bar runs along the top with links to the key pages about electorate, news, volunteers and contact, plus social media icons for Facebook and Instagram. If we click through to the about page, you can see a hero image with the heading Meet Cassie followed by a content section with a two column layout, an image on one side and biography text on the other.
00:01:02:46 - 00:01:13:28
This is a common pattern you'll see across the campaigners theme. Understanding the layout of your website from the front end first will make everything in the back end feel much more intuitive.
